Right now I’m loving the app Lift. It’s a great way to keep track of your daily habits and be accountable socially to others in the group. My current habits: Mediate, No Yelling (I have 3 kids), Say “No” to 1 thing each day, Stick to a budget, Take Photos, Work on / Make art, Write Blog Post, Write in Journal, Daily Gratitude List, Do one nice thing for my partner, Exercise. I also have two healthy eating ones which I can’t decide between, Flexitarian and VB6 (Eating Vegan between 6 o’clock). The eating ones have somewhat fallen to the wayside since we don’t have gas service in our new house, which has made it a bit of a challenge to stick to any eating plan for me lately.

I’m most excited right now about having added the Work on / Make art and Take Photos habits. I just recently bought a Lomography Diana F+ camera at lovely B&H and have been taking pictures daily with it. Years ago I owned a Holga but this camera is such a step up (so far) from that one, that I lost in our house fire. I haven’t gotten the film developed yet but I just can’t wait. I’m also really happy about the Lomography community built up around the cameras, and I received a lovely hardcover 10 year anniversary book about the Diana camera with tons of photos along with the camera.

I’ve also discovered the wonders of giant sales at Michael’s Craft Stores. Which has allowed me to purchase really large canvases very cheap. So cheap that I give some to my kids and have allowed them to work on them, and will start working on my own right beside them. I also have the space for a small studio in my newly renovated house which is just killer. So all in all, I’m just so happy to have this major house renovation over so that I can get back to focusing on creativity in all of it’s different forms and all the other habits that support me being healthy and joyful every day.
