One of my biggest goals work-wise is finally coming to life as I launch a usability lab at my agency. We have a pair of laptops with Morae installed. I started by digging into their how-to guide which was really painful. Luckily one of my team-mates Stacy has a rich development background so I asked her to experiment a bit with the software.

Then I invited my team to a barn- raising so that Stacy could introduce us to the software and setup. We had some wine and snacks to liven it up. So far so good but you only really learn by doing, so our next step is to usability test our redesigned company intranet as an Axure prototype in our focus group rooms starting May 7. It’s so great to keep learning and pushing ourselves so I can’t wait for this!
